The National Education Summit has become a Supporting Partner of the Global Joy Mission, marking a significant step in positioning joy as a measurable and practical driver of wellbeing, leadership and learning in Australian schools from 2026.

Founded by Chartered Organisational Psychologist and author Simi Rayat, the Global Joy Mission exists to help individuals, teams and systems shift from daily survival to daily thriving. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to placing educator wellbeing, psychological safety and sustainable performance at the centre of education — not the periphery.

As schools navigate rising pressure, burnout and engagement challenges, this collaboration recognises a clear truth:
wellbeing must be central to the future of schooling.

Through this partnership, the National Education Summit will help amplify the Global Joy Mission’s science-backed tools and frameworks, supporting schools to treat joy not as a “nice to have”, but as a strategic lever for culture, learning and impact.

At the heart of this work is a practical, evidence-based approach that enables schools to:

  • Strengthen educator wellbeing and retention
  • Build emotionally safe, high-performing cultures
  • Support student engagement and learning
  • Equip leaders with human-centred, results-focused tools

“When joy is measured, it can be understood.
When it’s understood, it can be improved.
And when it’s improved, everyone benefits.”

— Simi Rayat, Founder, Global Joy Mission

The partnership will be activated across 2025–2026 through shared conversations, resources, events and visibility across the National Education Summit platform — supporting educators and leaders nationwide to engage with joy as a measurable driver of change.
